Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC), located at 3500 Gaston Avenue in Dallas, Texas, is a nationally recognized, faith-based, not-for-profit hospital. It serves as a major patient care, teaching, and research center in North Texas.
Founded in 1903 as the Texas Baptist Memorial Sanitarium, the hospital began with just 25 beds in a renovated house. Today, it has grown to a large medical center with 914 licensed beds and cares for more than 300,000 patients annually.
